Patrick Malia was born in Carramore, Ireland about 1818. His wife's name was Mary. Their children included Matthew (1836-1898), Norah (Ann) 91842-1912), and Mary (?). Matthew movd to Newcastle-Uppn-Tyne in te 1850s, then emigrated to the U.S. settling in Scranton, PA. He was a coal miner as was his son, Matthew, Jr.
