Patrick J Noble immigrated to the United States of America as a young teen with his parents and siblings. In the beginning, they lived in the state of Pennsylvania. He worked as a miner in Lackawanna County until 1862 when he joined the Union Army to fight in the American Civil War. His unit was the E 11 Pennsylvania (PA) Cavalry. After the war, he became a naturalized citizen (1868) and in 1870, married Ann Cronin who was from Wayne County, Pennsylvania. They had 6 children, only 2 of whom lived to adulthood. The couple moved west around 1880 and lived in Kanas City, Wyandotte County, Kansas, USA for several years. By 1888, the family was living in San Diego, San Diego County, California, where his occupation is listed as "fruit dealer". Patrick and Ann moved to Seattle, King County, Washington sometime before 1910 to live with their daughter Annie Clara and her husband Joseph Louis Kalich. By 1912, the Kalichs and the Nobles had moved again, this time to a farm about 12 miles east of Toledo, Lewis County, Washington. Patrick died on 7 Nov 1925 at the age of 87. He was buried at St Francis Xavier Mission Cemetery beside Ann, who had died in 1918.
