Owen Ferry is the son of Patrick Ferry and Cicily O'Donnell, born in Bloody Foreland, Tullaghobegly West, Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland.
sponsors at his Baptism were Edward Curran and Kate Ferry.

Owen's birth certificate states that his father's name was Peter but that is probably a mistake. Peter was not a popular name in that area at that time and there is no one in the family with the name Peter even as a second name.

Owen immigrated to the USA aboard the HMS Britannia under Captain Henry Parsett arriving at the port of New York June 1888 via Cobb/Queenstown & Liverpool.
He settled in Chicago,Illinois.  He married Isabella McFadden June 1889 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Chicago.

Together they had 6 Children,  Edward b.1890,  Cicily b. 1892,  Patrick b. 1894,  John b. 1896,  Sarah b. 1899,  Mary Isabelle b. 1901.
