Nancy Fitzpatrick Haessly was the daughter of Bernard Fitzpatrick and Mary "Polly" Laughlin. She had two older sisters, one younger sister, and 3 younger brothers. Two of the Fitzpatrick daughters (Sarah and Nancy) married Haessly brothers. Two of the Fitzpatrick sons (Patrick and William) married Bertsche sisters. Some of them came from Ohio to Wisconsin around the time that Wisconsin became a state.

She is pictured here with her husband Jonathan Haessly.
