Laurence Nestor was a tenament farmer on the Landed Estate of Ver De Ver. His wife Elena Maria "Ellen" Kennedy was from this location as well. Both had at least one generation prior who were "occupiers" on the De Vere estate. Laurence and Ellen were Married in Askeaton (nearby town) and emmigrated from Ireland to the US before 1850. They had three children born in Limerick, Patrick, Michael, and Joanna. And two children Ellen and Margaret born in the US. I am interested in finding out more about their life in Limerick and circumstances that urged them to the US. I dont know exactly which year they left Ireland and by which port.
I have a tree in WikiTree // Campbell-66063 and hope to be able to flesh out family lines of ancestors related to Laurence and Ellen. And learn a little more about thier story. My grandfather John "Joe" Nestor was born in Nebraska and in his adult life, farmed in Idaho. Michael Nestor was his grandfather.
All suggestions welcome! Cheers, Karen
