Migrated to/Born in New Zealand

John SIMPSON married 28 January 1851, Drumachose, Londonderry, Mary WETHERALL. Abt 1851 (per the 1851 Scotland Census) they were living in Glasgow where John worked as a Bricklayer. But their eldest 2 children: William Spence SIMPSON (b.1852 Eglington, Belfast, Co. Antrim) & Mary Elizabeth SIMPSON (b.1854 Eglington, Belfast, Co. Antrim) were born back in Northern Ireland. They had 5 further children, born in Glasgow. Then in1865 they emigrated to New Zealand where 4 more children were born.

I am particularly interested in finding BDM info for the earlier generations i.e. John SIMPSON's parents, David SIMPSON (b. abt 1801 Northern Ireland; d. 1866 Renfrewshire, Scotland) & Elizabeth BACON (b.abt 1800, Artikelly, Anghaloo, Londonderry, Northern Ireland; d.bef 1862 Northern Ireland).

David & Elizabeth SIMPSON had 7 children who seem to have all been born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. I have info on some of their children.

David's parents were James SIMPSON (no BDM details) & Nancy RUSSELL (no BDM details). Also no details of any other of their children.

I live in New Zealand & I have been attempting to research these early generations for some years with limited success.
