Patrick emigrated age 18 from Clonfanlough, Clonmacnoise around 1845, settling in Chicopee MA USA and marrying Bridget Sheridan before moving west to Clyman, Wisconsin where he lived out his life.
He left a brother we know of - James - who farmed in Clonfanlough and his son Thomas retained the farm. Thomas' descendants kept the farm until sometime in the early 1920s. Thomas and Kieran remained in Ireland, and all of the rest of James' children emigrated - Patrick, Margaret, Anna, Rose.
Patrick also had a sister Catherine, who married Thomas Brennan in 1841 and emigrated to Australia. Her immigration and death record provide the parents of this sibling group (evidenced by newspaper clippings and DNA) as James Coughlan and Ann Devery.
