My grandfather was born in 1883. The information I have is that he was born to Henry(Harry)Smith & Elizabeth. Henry was a soldier stationed at Fermoy Barracks. I'm tyring to found out more about him and Elizabeth.
My grandfather was William John Smith. Henry and Elizabeth went on to have a daughter who was called Elizabeth, born in 1885. I found their records of birth, but there is a difference in the maiden name of their mother Elizabeth? One is listed as Crawford, the other as Croft?
It seems too much of a coincidence that both entries have parents as Harry & Elizabeth?
I have no information at the moment as to where either Harry or Elizabeth were born or the regiment that Harry was in.
Any help would be very much appreciated
