Robin Power was born on January 28, 1822, in Waterford, Waterford, Ireland, his father, Nicholas, was 21 and his mother, Ellen, was 22. He married Catherine Power on February 18, 1843, in Ballybricken, Waterford, Ireland. They had two children during their marriage. He died as a young father in September 1845 at the age of 23, and was buried in his hometown.
