William Gannon married Margaret Walsh, presumably in Ireland as both were born in Ireland (county unknown) according to U.S. vital records for their children. Together, William and Margaret had several children: Bridget (“Lizzie”), Patrick and Mary (twins?), Margaret, Ann, and John.
By 1861, William had died (location and year unknown) and his widow and their children emigrated to Carlisle, England.
By the late 1800s, Patrick, his wife and children emigrated to New Bedford, Massachusetts USA. Margaret Walsh Gannon accompanied the wife of Patrick Gannon and their children on the voyage from Liverpool, England to Boston, but then disappears from all records.
William and Margaret’s children: Bridget, Patrick, Mary and Ann all settled in New Bedford with their families. The confirmed whereabouts for children Margaret and John has not yet been discovered.
