Nora--born Honor Hynes--was born in Cloonsheen on 5th February 1911. She lived in London and then Northampton England from c 1938-1949 and then returned to Cloonsheen. Her family were farmers. She had three brothers, Patrick, Michael and Martin, and two sisters, Mary and Bridget (Bridie). She was a beautiful woman with long dark hair, tall, independent, intelligent and a devout Catholic. She likely moved back to Ireland to look after her mother and help her brother, Martin, on the farm after her dad, Michael, died in March 1949 aged 84. Her mother, Mary, died in March 1967 aged 92. Martin reported and attended both deaths. She spoke Irish and English and likely worshipped at St. Conleth's. Most of her family is buried in plot 320 in Kiconly cemetery in Galway. She and her brother Martin are not listed on the stone but may be there on a small stone resembling a book that has now worn away. Her brother, Michael's family tend the grave and erected a stone more recently. The people listed are her grandparents, Martin Hynes and Nora (Honor) née McTigue, her parents, Michael Hynes and Mary (née Connor), her brother Martin and his wife Susan who lived in Dublin and her other brother, Patrick, who moved to London. Any info about Nora would be most welcome.
