Michael born in Boohoma, Bellmullet, County Mayo in 1849, father John, mother Mary Caffrey.   He first married Bridget McManaman and had two children, Michael (b. 1871) and Mary Lena (b. 1872).   Bridget died in April 1876.   He then married Mary Cusack in  Dec 1876 in Doohoma, Bellmullet.   Their first child, Thomas Aloysious, was born in County May in 1878.   In 1879, the family emigrated to the state of Pennsylvania, USA.  Michael worked as a coal miner and died in 1914 in the US.
