McDonnell/Kelly - Swinford/Castlebarnagh, Ireland

Hello, I am searching for my maternal relatives in Ireland. My maternal grandmother, Julia McDonnell, was born in Swinford, Ireland to Thomas Mark McDonnell and Catherine McDonnell (Kelly). She had older 7 siblings (see attached) and I recentlylearned of 1 6ouger sibling, Michael McDonnell. She moved to England and became Juliana Austin and had a son, Michael Austin. In Jan 1946, she married my grandfather, Maitland Hallett, and they moved to Brooklyn, NY. She gave birth to my mother, Judy Hallett (see attached) in 1953, and sadly died of cancer in 1958 when my mom was just 5 years old. It seems her siblings disbursed throughout Europe, the States, and possibly Canada. I would love to connect with my family đź’—

I have joined Ancestry and am awaiting DNA results.

    Kildavnet Freeholders List

A unique Census Substitute for the townland of Carrickkildavnet aka Kildavnet in 1829. This Freeholders List can provide useful information about those who held enough land to register to vote. While the smaller tenant farmers who suffered most during the Great Famine won't appear on this list, there may be a few surprises included here (that didn't appear on Tithe applotment records). These could be partners on a freehold lease. Can you find your ancestor's name below?
