When Mary Eleanor Langan was born in November 1860 in Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland, her father, Patrick, was 31, and her mother, Mary, was 34. She married Bernard King on October 7, 1884, in her hometown. They had eight children in 13 years. She died on June 5, 1931, in Belfast, Antrim, Northern Ireland, at the age of 70, and was buried in Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland.
