This is the only picture I have of my great-grandmother, Mary Coakley.
She married my great-grandfather Edward McCallum in Clonakilty on 13 November 1898. I took her date of birth and this photo from her citizenship documents.
County Cork, or Corcaigh in Irish, is the southernmost county in Ireland and also the largest county. It is known as “The Rebel County”. We are home to the Blarney Stone and known for our beaches and beautiful scenery. We have a population of approximately 542,196. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
