My great-grandfather, Martin Gallagher, born 1864 in Glanworth; died 1932 in the Bronx, NY. This image is from his days as a NYC police officer, circa 1900.

His father was Daniel Gallagher, 1818-1890; his mother, Julia Bourke, 1826-1905. Both from Glanworth.

I believe Daniel's parents were Daniel Gallagher (1775-1848) from Glanworth, and Mary Sheehan (1794-1847) from Castlelyons. But not 100 percent sure on that.

Would love to be able to trace the Gallagher line back further, or the Bourke line. The Gallagher clan was not traditionally a Cork clan, but rather, from Donegal historically.
