Possibly from Kings County ( now Offaly), Leinster, Ireland
arrived in SA with a group of 50 servant girls from the SW Engalnd and Ireland on the ship "Trafalgar" on June 28th 1854 and worked at a large house in Clare. SAust
Co. Offaly, or Uíbh Fhailí in Irish, was once known as King's County. It is in the midlands region of Ireland with the River Shannon defining its western border. We are home to Birr Castle and Moneygall, which is the ancestral home of President Obama. Our county town is Tullamore and we have a population of approximately 78,003. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
