Kathleen O'Moore was born in 1848. She was the daughter of John Edmund O'Moore, of Cloghan Castle in Offaly, and Annie Sophia Lambert, of Castle Lambert in Galway. In 1867 she married George Charles O'Neill in Dublin.
Co. Offaly, or Uíbh Fhailí in Irish, was once known as King's County. It is in the midlands region of Ireland with the River Shannon defining its western border. We are home to Birr Castle and Moneygall, which is the ancestral home of President Obama. Our county town is Tullamore and we have a population of approximately 78,003. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
