Julia Crean married Timothy Lehsne Millstreet April 1865. My Great Grandfather William Lehane was one of their children born 3rd June 1873, he came to Wales and married my Great Granmother Dulcie Lock in 1901. I would love to know more about Timothy and Julia and also the wider family. I received really helpful information regarding a William previously, many thanks, much appreciated.

Kilshannig Parish Established

This parish was one of the earliest established in County Cork following the decision taken at the 1111 Synod of Clonbrassil where the parish system was approved to replace the monastic governance that was in vogue up until then. This change met with much resistence and it took the Normans arrival in 1169 to effect change.
