Joseph Gorman may have been born in Frankfort, County Offaly. He married Eliza Doolan in Tullamore but I believe she was born in Frankfort (Kilcormac parish). Their first 3 children - John, Mary, and Peter were born in Frankfort between 1843 and 1846 (baptised in Kilcormac). After that the family moved to Tullamore where the last 6 - Margaret, Joseph, Elizabeth, Anne, Francis and James were born between 1848 and 1859.

He must have died between then and the marriage of his daughter in Nov 1863.

I have the following information about their children: Mary married Joseph Riggs in 1863, John married Sarah Pike in 1865, Margaret married Patrick Devine in 1871, Elizabeth married Charles Corrigan in 1871. James emigrated to Australia and married Ada Nichols in 1896. Peter and Joseph died as young men. I know nothing about Anne or Francis.

I would very much like to get in touch with decendants of any of these.
