I do not know much about my great-great grandfather, John Rochford. The family sotry is that he emigrated to western New York, to a town called Hornellsville, in about 1840. He was born in 1814 or 1815 in Sligo Town. He ultimately married Hannorah Conroy in the US and I am rather grateful for it!
I'd be awfully glad if on this rather thin lead, someone knew of him.

County Sligo, or Sligeach in Irish, is located in the border region of Ireland. We are home to Benbulben Mountain, which is said to be Ireland’s most distinctive and shady valleys dominate the landscape here. Our county town is Sligo and we have a population of approximately 65,393. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
