Good day. Does anyone recognise the regiment by the uniform that my grandfather is wearing in this 1919 photograph. Also on his medals is stamped T2- 14605 DVR J Dunne ASD but I cannot find his army records???He was in Gallipoli and in Palestine/Egypt and then posted to Ireland. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes Peter Jenkinson
Co. Offaly, or Uíbh Fhailí in Irish, was once known as King's County. It is in the midlands region of Ireland with the River Shannon defining its western border. We are home to Birr Castle and Moneygall, which is the ancestral home of President Obama. Our county town is Tullamore and we have a population of approximately 78,003. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
