My ancestor John McBride, son of Charles McBride and Ann Connelly of Ballybofey, County Donegal, Ireland came to the United States about 1855 or so with two (2) brothers as the story goes. He would railroad construction until about 1863 when he bought land in Rush Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, USA.
