Jeremiah Hartigan, son of Jeremiah Hartigan and Johanna Mcnamara, was born Roman Catholic in Derraulin, in Corcomohide parish, in Limerick, in Ireland, in about 1865. His siblings were Mathew, born about 1859; Johanna, born about 1864; Anna born about 1865, Ellen, born about 1867; Catherine, born about 1869. He was a Labourer. He didn't marry in Ireland. He left Ireland with his sister Annie in 1895 and went to Philadelphia. He married Mary Fallon in 1899. They had Jeremiah Hartigan in 1900, Mary Hartigan in 1901, James Hartigan in 1902, John Joseph Hartigan in 1904, Anne Hartigan in 1906.
