James Nugent was born in Ireland in 1836. I believe he was born in Nenagh. His father Charles may have been born in Donegal. His mother was Anna McCarthy, also born in Ireland. He had, at least ,5 siblings. He came to America in 1855 with his mother and siblings. I am not sure if his father died, or just stayed back .
