My grandfather was born in Cloona, Westport, County Mayon on Jan. 30, 1889 and passed away in NYC on Jan. 11, 1949. I have found all of his descendants. His father was Patrick Kearney (1854-1925) who was also born and died in Cloona. He married Mary nee Conway (1865-1949) on March 21, 1888. Mary was from Loughloon which was just up the hill from Cloona. Patrics father was Mark Kearney (1814-1864) who was married to Mary nee Ruddy (1831-1898). Besides their son Patrick they begot 4 other children that I know about: Thomas Kearney was born about 1851 and died in 1929. John and James Kearney's birth/death dates are unknown to me. They both emigrated to America and one or both may have become Catholic priests. Margaret Kearney was both about 1860 and also emigrated to america and in the 1930 census is living in Miami Florida. Margaret gave the money to build a church somewhere in Florida and their is a plaque hanging in the vestibule that states: "The omeny for this this church was donated by Margaret Kearney of Cloona, Westport, Mayo, Ireland. My mother went to the church over 60 years ago but I cannot remember where in Florida my mother said that the church waas located.
Any help anyone can give me if finding information on John, James, and /.or Margaret Kearney would be appreciated. My e-mail is psavage1944@gmail.com
