James Hagan was born about 1810-1820, probably in Derry. He may have lived in the Gulladuff/Mayogall area based on the information found in my Hagan DNA matches' trees. His wife was Maria (family name unknown). His daughter, Bridget, was born about 1849 in Ireland. She immigrated to the USA in about 1867, likely leaving her parents behind in Ireland. Bridget married Peter Fox, also an Irish immigrant from Mayo, in 1868 in Jersey City, New Jersey, USA. James Hagan is my 3x GGF. James Hagan > Bridget Hagan > Annie Fox > Ethel Arrance > Arlene Kendall > Cathy Barbano. I have found some of my Hagan DNA matches' ancestors in the Termoneeny parish records. However, I have not been able to find any Termoneeny records for James Hagan, his wife Maria or daughter Bridget, nor any Irish records at all. Some other family names that may be related to James Hagan are: Devlin, Farrell, McPeake, Mulholland, Seymour, and Scullion. Please visit my public Barbano-Kendall family tree on Ancestry for more information.
