James and Therese Connelly were married January 25, 1864 in Dublin at St. Mary's pro-cathedral.  At the time Therese was living with her parents at 153 Great Britian Street in Dublin. James was living in Sheffield, England.  James' parents lived near St. Mary's.

James' parents were Thomas and Mary Clara (nee. Larney).  James had 2 brothers:  Thomas and Robert and 1 sister Clara.  All were in the printing business.  2 of the brothers settled in Rochester, New York. James went to Lincoln, Nebraska.  Both James and his wife Therese worked as printers/rulers and book binders.
