James Darcy was born to his parents Patrick Darcy and Mary McGuire on the 5th of February 1829 in Killusty, Fethard, Co. Tipperary. James married Bridget Ryan from Cloran, Drangan.

James died on 31 January 1905 in Killusty Fethard, having lived a long life of 79 years.
