James Colwell/Caldwell, probably born about 1780 (ish), had at least one wife who gave birth birth to 4 children, Samuel, Joseph, Mary Ann, and John (b. abt. 1806).

John married Elizabeth Baird (dau. of James Baird).

John and Elizabeth had 7 children: Hugh, Elizabeth, John, James, Joseph, Robert, and Mary/Marg. Ann.  These children were born in Mowillian or Feranloy townships in Derrynoose Parish, Armagh.  All are shown as Presbyterian.

Mother Elizabeth and the brood (except Hugh) show up in the 1951 Dundee census.  John and James emigrated to Bruce County Ontario.
