I believe this to be a photo of my maternal Great Grandfather, Hugh Gallgher from Toome, North Fanad, Donegal. He lived and died in Toome. He had 13 children, 11 survived, one being my Grandfather Patrick Gallagher who emigrated to Scotland. I have quite a bit of information of 5 of the children, but looking for more info on the others. Would love to know if anyone on this site is connected to us or has more information. I’ve updated this info following more research (as of 21/4/19)

  1. Annie 1884-1960 emigrated to USA - have made contact with her descendents

  2. Susan 1885 -1975 emigrated to Scotland - have made contact with her descendents

  3. Patrick 1887-1956 emigrated to Scotland - my grandfather. I have lots of info.

  4. Mary 1888 - married John McGinley, 4 children. One of these children married my maternal aunt

  5. Winifred 1889 - think she may have married a Daniel Meenan

  6. James 1894 - moved to Coatbridge Scotland married Mary O'Hagan, one child, then emigrated to USA, have contacted descendent

  7. Rose Anne 1896 - no information - descendants now found and am in touch

  8. Jeremiah 23 April 1897 died 1965 remained in Toome, batchelor

  9. John 1899 - possibly followed his brother James to Coatbridge, Scotland

  10. Hugh 1905 - no information

  11. Mary Anne 1907 (??) no information - believe this to be a mistake now - and Mary Ann was an offspring to another part of the family
