Fathers name was Micheal Carroll, Mothers name Margarit Madigan. They had several kids some of which stayed in Co. Clare to tend the farm during the Famine, 3 Micheal Carroll 1829, John 1829, and Jame’s 1834, migrated to America to help the family financially. He also had a brother David, born 1836, although I believe he stayed in Ireland due to his age, and I’m not sure about how long he lived as I can’t find any info on him. I also believe there was a sister left in Ireland, that later immigrated with Micheal and Margarit, that died in Canada at a young age as indicated on Micheal’s headstone.

The brother’s arrived in Louisiana approximately 1846. He naturalized in 1856. They all eventually settled in Pike, Pittsfield Illinois area. I know there is family still in Ireland/Doonaha area as a family member met them several years ago.

any help would be greatly appreciated connecting me to my family in Ireland as I am the only one left in my immediate family.
