Elizabeth was born around 1840, possibly in Queens County or Dublin.   The child of John and Alice Slevin, she married John Wildes (also Wylde/s and other spellings) on 26 September 1860 in St Mary's, Dublin.   Elizabeth had six children, only the eldest of whom (Mary) was born in Ireland.   Elizabeth Ann, John Walter, Jacob Aloysius, Thomas Ambrose, and Rachel Veronica Wildes were all born in Liverpool.   Elizabeth died on 16 March 1911 in Liverpool, having survived both her husband and four of her six children.
