My great-great-grandfather, Denis Molony was born in Rosscarbery, County Cork. His parents were John Molony and Mary Teresa Gallway. He emigrated to the U.S. in 1861.
County Cork, or Corcaigh in Irish, is the southernmost county in Ireland and also the largest county. It is known as “The Rebel County”. We are home to the Blarney Stone and known for our beaches and beautiful scenery. We have a population of approximately 542,196. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
