Charles and his wife Mary were born in Ireland.  She was born in 1813.  Their son John was born in Ireland circa 1839.  They migrated to Dorset, England  before 1841, as they are listed in the census of that year.  He was an employee of the coast guard.

 

They are my great-great grandparents.
