Catherine Wright born circa 1840 married Richard Britt 27 February 1859 in Ballingarry, County Tipperary.

Catherine and Richard had three sons born in Ballingarry: William born circa 1860; James born circa 1862 and Richard born in 1864. The family moved and settled in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. They had two more sons: Patrick born circa 1867 and Michael born circa 1870.

I don't know what happened to her husband Richard Britt. I know that in the 1880 US Federal Census for Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Catherine had remarried to a man by the name of William Kennedy and they had two children: John born circa 1875 and Johanna born circa 1877.

The 1880 census listed William, James, Richard, Patrick and Michael with the surname of Kennedy. This is wrong; their surname is Britt. The only children of this household with surname name of Kennedy are John and Johanna.
