Presumably came from County Cork, maybe in or near Bandon. She died in Iowa, US, in 1888, and her headstone says she was 93 years old. I would like to find out her birth surname, and the name of her husband.
County Cork, or Corcaigh in Irish, is the southernmost county in Ireland and also the largest county. It is known as “The Rebel County”. We are home to the Blarney Stone and known for our beaches and beautiful scenery. We have a population of approximately 542,196. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
