Callaghan HALLORAN was born about 1790, presumedly in the Killavullen area. He was married in the Annakissy RC Church in 1814 to Mary S. HIGGINS. Together they had ten children.
I don't believe Callaghan emigrated from Ireland--perhaps he'd died?--when his wife Mary and most of their ten children emigrated to New York City about 1852.
County Cork, or Corcaigh in Irish, is the southernmost county in Ireland and also the largest county. It is known as “The Rebel County”. We are home to the Blarney Stone and known for our beaches and beautiful scenery. We have a population of approximately 542,196. We look forward to helping you connect with your ancestors’ place of origin.
