Mary Duffy was born in 1842 on the Fanad Peninsula, either in or around Magherawarden, Donegal. Her parents were Bernard/Bryan Duffy and Sarah Dorian. She was married in St Columbas Church, Tawny, Donegal on October 27, 1859. She migrated to New York City, NY, USA, with her husband, Anthony Dunnion around 1860-63. They lived in Bayonne, NJ after a short stay in NYC. She had 7 children: Francis, James, Rose, Daniel, John, Anthony and Patrick. Anthony died when he was 5. John was my Great Grandfather. They moved to Newark around 1880 and she died 2 years later only one year after her 5 year old son Anthony died.
